About Me
This is me, the face behind hair by rachel lewis. I started this passion at 15 years old, now 7 years later, I still love it more each day.
I am so proud of the business I've created and with the on going support of the amazing people in my life, I know it will only get better.
I am one of three kids, including my older Sister aimee and my younger brother jason.
i live with my partner caleb, who helps with my business also.
My Career has been a rollercoaster so far but, I can't wait to see what the rest of my career has in store for me. "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger!" and you grow more from it.
Thank you to all my followers, new and old. I am more focused than ever and am so excited for the future.

DAVINES is a family owned company started as a research laboratory in Parma, Italy, producing high-end hair and skin care products for renowned cosmetic companies worldwide. After a decade of honing their expertise, their own brand of Davines hair care products were developed exclusively for salons.

I specialise in blonde and ombré and balayage colouring techniques. Although this is our most common request, working with darker tones and hair styling is definitely still something we love. medium, long, curly or straight, we’ll transform it.

I can't stress or explain enough, how using beneficial and professional products make a colouring service extremely effective.
A colouring service contains chemicals. To lighten a clients hair we need to use powder lightener in which we call bleach.
To ensure the clients hair is stable enough for a service, we need all clients to be as honest as possible with what is used, or has been used on their hair.
When a lightening service is processing, the hair is breaking down progressively and trying to lighten. If incorrect products, or non beneficial products have been used on your hair, the chemicals from your products and the chemicals in the colours that myself as a hairdresser will use can have a reaction which is called a "chemical reaction".
A chemical reaction can, or may cause heat. The more heat being produced, the more the hair can be left un stable, dry , dull and lifeless.
Once the hair is in any of these states, the less the hair has a chance of being the coloured result you're wanting, and more importantly, the hair isn't left in a stable condition.
As an honest and professional hairdresser, I definitely wouldn't put a clients hair through a chemical service if I know the hair won't be able to handle the process.
Everyone should invest in their hair, it's the crown you never take off.
If for any reason I unfortunately can't do the colouring service for the above reason, please take it as a blessing. As a hairdresser, and as a passionate hairdresser, I am giving my full education and expertise to you as a client and I want what is best for your hair and yourself.
I find educating clients is so important, because at the end of the day, I pride myself in my work and my career.
